Monday July 7, 2008 we drove up to the home of Don and Brenda in Cleveland, Tennessee. Their roof was in need of new shingles. After many of us climbed the ladder to the roof and began ripping shingles, it became apparent that removing and replacing shingles would not be the only assignments given. Much of the wood had to go which meant more wood must be put in place. After a few falls through the roof for some of our members, the dangerous spots had been replaced. With a stable roof in place
VBS 2008 was a blast! This year we traveled to the beautiful islands of Hawaii. We learned a few Hawaiian words like Aloha, Mahalo, and Wiki Wiki! Our wonderful kitchen staff fed us great snacks, like island spiders, tropical fish, flip flop cookies, leis, and lots of Hawaiian Punch. In our craft department we made surfboard picture frames, leis, wind chimes, and cool t-shirts. Our music was very fun-filled and enjoyed by the students and teachers alike.&nb

Over the Easter break a group of people from Galilee went our third mission trip to Mexico. One of the areas we have been ministering to is a remote settlement called Colonia Flores de Mayo. It is about 15-20 miles outside of Reynosa, Mexico. Most of the people living there traveled from southern areas looking for work in the city. Very few have been able to secure jobs and are living in severe poverty. The Mexican government has allowed them to squat on land bor

Our first night at the campground in Texas, where we slept each night, the coordinator of the trip asked a question to the entire group, “Why are you here?” The room was quiet for a minute, but gradually people began to share why they came on this particular mission trip

On February 15, 2008 Johnny and June Carter Cash (AKA Duane & Toni Black) did an outstanding job as Masters of Ceremony for our First Annual Gong Show.

We were also captivated by an interpretive dance by our very own Kirby Brown. The sweetest act of the night was a duet by Joe and D
