Thrive Student Ministries

Our Mission Statement is “Leading a generation to God’s love through service.” This is in line with the church’s mission and gives us a clear focus in our community. When anyone experiences God’s love it changes everything – regardless of circumstances or obstacles. The best way to minister is in a time of need. Service is a great way to meet someone right where they are and point them to our source of hope and salvation. This is what Jesus modelled for us.

We also have five core values that will ensure integrity is maintained as we work toward our mission with our teens. They are Honor, Stewardship, Excellence, Growth and Service. These are essentials for life that will equip our teens to rely on God through tough times (Growth), while being mission-minded (Service), while respecting others (Honor), while multiplying the blessing deposited in our lives (Stewardship), while striving to give 100% in all they do from start to finish (Excellence).

We meet on Sunday mornings at 9:30am (Sunday School), Sunday evenings at 5:00pm (Bible study) and Wednesday evenings (Thrive worship service) at 6:00pm.

Men's Ministry

At Galilee Baptist, our men’s Ministry is made up of both members and visiting men. We strive to support the church’s mission statement of “Loving God and Others by Going, Discipling, Gathering, and Serving.” We do this in a variety of ways such as going to the LOT Project and sharing Christ with those in need; by discipling through our Wednesday night Bible studies, our trip to Gridiron Conference, or our All-Men Sunday school hour; by gathering at our annual “Tune-Up & Tune In” sportsman’s event; and by serving our church through other outreach activities.

Women's Ministry

As a woman, you are ESSENTIAL in the body of Christ and we want to EQUIP you through discipleship, Bible study, women’s events, and service opportunities. We offer a variety of events throughout the year and would love for you to get involved!

Music Ministry

The music ministry at Galilee has one goal: To Glorify Our Creator. Scripture makes many references to the acts of singing and playing of instruments in order to praise and glorify God. Here at Galilee, our aim in musical worship is to glorify Christ and show Him as more beautiful than all the things of this world, regardless of genre of music or era in which it was written.

GriefShare

At some point in our lives, each of us experiences the pain of death as we lose family, friends, and other loved ones. During these times, gathering is one of the best ways we can love one another. GriefShare is a ministry of our church that seeks to meet this need.

Oasis (Senior Adults)

This is a ministry designed for those who are 55 years of age and older. Many may think that once they retire, they are free from all obligations, including those associated with the church. This shouldn’t be the case!

OASIS stands for Older Adults Sharing In Service, and that is our mission.

Our ministry comes together to enjoy wonderful fellowship and grow together in Christ, but also to serve our community and church body.

As 1 Timothy 6:12 says, we are to “Fight the good fight of the faith,” and that command is meant to be followed until we see our Lord face to face. We hope you’ll join us on one of our many fellowship opportunities, but more importantly, join us in serving Christ until he calls us home.
