Loving God and others by going, discipling, gathering, and serving!

At Galilee, our mission is more than a slogan. In it, we seek to fulfill two “greats” of Jesus.

First, we strive to fulfill the Great Command (Matt 22:37-40).

And he said to them, You shall love the Lord God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it:You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets,”

Furthermore, we believe we can best obey the Great Command by fulfilling the Great Commission (Matt 28:18-20).

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.

Our Method

These are the practical ways we work to live out our mission as a faith family:

Going

We desire intentionality in reaching out to others. Going entails everything from reaching people in our community to doing missions around the world.

Discipling

We desire to become more like Christ. Discipling is our way of describing how we want to grow as believers through relationships, small groups, and Bible teaching.

Gathering

We desire to be a loving community. Gathering refers to corporate worship and also to the conventional relationship believers have with each other and a local church.

Serving

We desire to have a faith that moves us to action. Serving challenges us to give of our resources, time, talents, and energies for the purpose of making the name of Jesus known.
